Joint Health & Safety Committees and Representatives Online Awareness Training
Additional Course Information
Alberta employers must ensure their joint work site health and safety committee (HSC) members and health and safety representatives (H&S reps) are trained in their roles and responsibilities, the obligations of work site parties, and the rights of workers (OHS Code, section 201). This online course is built to that requirement and is current to Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and Code.
Outside Alberta, it gives committee members and representatives anywhere in Canada a practical foundation in how committees work. It does not replace Ontario JHSC Certification (Parts 1 and 2), which must be taken from a CPO-approved provider.
